I am sure you have all heard the saying “Don’t Put All Your Eggs In To One Basket” before. If you haven’t let me explain. Basically what this means is don’t rely all on one thing because if that one thing fails you have nothing. This applies to making money online as well. When everyone starts out with a blog the first thing that comes to mind to make money online is Google Adsense. The reason it comes to mind is because Google has done a very good job advertising it and it is very easy to use. However there are many other ways to make money online that can be very good for your website as well. As well if things don’t work out with Google you can always have a backup way of making money online. Below is a list of a few that can make you a lot of money online.
Performancing Ads
This market place is designed by bloggers for bloggers. This is a relatively new type of advertising which places a 125×125 pixel ad button which has slowly become the advertisement of choice to make money online for bloggers. Publishers enjoy a 60% revenue share and free placement in the Performancing Ads market place. They also offer a life time referral program that you will probably want to be a part of.
Kontera ContentLink
Kontera ContentLink is a very good type of advertising because it allows you to put advertising on your website without giving up advertising spots. How it works is that it turns certain words in to an ad. It will highlight the word and put a double underline under it with a ad pop up when you hover over the word. It is designed with a double line under the word so it isn’t confused with a normal hyperlink. Kontera normally requires your website to have at least 500,000 page views per month but now they have taken that restriction off for text based contextual website or blogs.

Text Link Ads
Text Link Ads is pretty neat because what it allows you to do is advertise with a list of links. So what some publishers do is put a section for “Featured Sites” and below they put a list of these Text Link Ads and if people click on them they make money. The links offer addvertisers traffic and search engine benefits and readers don’t seem to mind them at all because they are not intrusive. Your link price is set by Text Link Ads and is based on Alexa, Google PageRank, number of RSS subscribers, and a few other factors.
ReviewMe
ReviewMe allows advertisers to buy sponsored reviews on your blog. Reivew prices are based on your blog’s Alexa, Technorati and estimated RSS numbers. Publishers can set their own pricing if they don’t like the price ReviewMe set. Reviews can be positive or negative. The only requirement is the post must be at least 200 words long.
Market Leverage
Market Leverage is another large affiliate network with lots of exclusive offers. Every publisher is assigned his own affiliate manager that will work with him to get the most out of the program. From simple zip submit to high commission sales offer, Market Leverage has it all and they’re great people to work with.
AzoogleAds
AzoogleAds is one of the largest performance-based online advertising networks in the world. They offers some of the best and highest paying affiliate deals in the industry. No matter what topic your blog covers, you can find a deal that matches your site. The payout range from $1 to over $100 per action.
Now if the list above isn’t enough for you and you want an even more comprehensive list of 130 ad networks you can find it here (a list of advertising networks collected by John Chow).

I agree with you. Affiliate marketing is the best way to earn money easily because the merchant will provide us with a product , which is tested and proven, and there are no production costs involved. Many opportunities have a website with product information, sale and marketing materials to help us promote the products on our website.

Thanks for the comment John. Yup affiliate marketing is the way to go if you want lots of money. For now while I build up traffic and rank on this blog I will stick with Adsense but later I plan on adding a few of these different types of advertising.

Some great strategies to start earning. I love how you apply a much-used phrase for everyday tasks to online advertising. Thanks for the mention of MarketLeverage, too!

Thanks for the comment MLDina!
Yup I thought it would work taking an every day phrase and apply it to online advertising. Your welcome with the mention of MarketLeverage.
Maybe I will be trying out MarketLeverage once I generate more traffic to my blog.
